How To Schedule Your First Appointment & What To Expect
Setting an Appointment
Call
513-878-3070
or
937-396-7077
to speak directly with one of our counselors (Kelly Case, Beth Bench, or Matt Pavlik will answer the phone)
Our regular administrative hours (for answering the phone) are 9am to 6pm Monday through Thursday. If we happen to be busy and unable to answer the phone when you call, please leave your name, number and the best time to reach you. We will return your call as soon as possible (usually within 4 hours). Emergency appointments are usually available the same day, depending on the time of your call.
Counselor Availability
Please view a specific location (click one of the yellow boxes above) to see counselor office hours.
Your First Appointment
Sessions are 50 minutes in length. Before your first session, expect to arrive 30 minutes early to complete initial paperwork. This paperwork is important because it contains detailed questions about the reasons you are seeking counseling. Filling it out ahead of time will save time during your session.
Starting with your first session, your counselor will go through with you a fairly structured interview. Completing this initial diagnostic assessment usually takes one or two sessions depending on how many people are involved and the complexity of the situation presented. After the assessment you have the option to work with your counselor to develop a specific plan for treatment. This plan can be as detailed or general as is needed to accomplish your goals. For most of our clients a formal written plan is not needed; instead your counselor will provide overall direction verbally. Clients seeking marriage or family counseling may want to schedule more than one session for the initial appointment to ensure there is enough time for all involved to share (50 minutes can go by especially quickly with more than one person involved).
Smoking and Tobacco Usage
We appreciate your cooperation with our health code. For your protection and the protection of other clients like you, including those who may be allergic or have asthma, please do not use tobacco products. Smoking is not allowed in hallways or outside near the entrances to the building. Please do not smoke immediately before attending your appointment. Thank you so much!

If you prefer, you can also set an appointment via email. Please note that this will usually take longer to process. You can also request that we call you at your convenience. To request more information or to ask questions please use our

When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
